About Alban Psychology Group
The principal of the Alban Psychology Group is Adam Alban, who received a M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Michigan State University. His areas of interest in clinical psychology include assessments of cognitive functioning, forensic evaluations, deception in assessments, geropsychology, and the treatment of adolescents and adults. He also holds a J.D. from American University’s Washington College of Law in Washington, DC. While in the District of Columbia he functioned as the law clerk to the General Counsel of the DC Department of Mental Health, where he assisted the Department to navigate the statutory and regulatory challenges of mental health practice, respond to ongoing litigation, and coordinate with treatment providers. He is admitted to practice law in California. (SBN 248546)
He has provided training seminars on several different areas of mental health practice, including:

- Large-scale behavior management programs
- Deception
- Outpatient commitment
- Consent to treatment
- Legal/ethical issues in geropsychology
- Interviewing techniques
